Goodfellows has been supporting those in need in the Raleigh community since 1934. This effort, led by the Raleigh Jaycees, started as a holiday food drive for those impacted by the Great Depression, ensuring families would have food through the holidays and winter months.

In recent history Goodfellows brought Christmas to the less fortunate children of Wake County with a day of one-on-one attention filled with a shopping spree for their basic needs, a traditional holiday feast with all the trimmings, festivities, gifts and a special visit from Santa Claus.

This year we are excited to try something new. The whole family will be invited and all children under 18 will get clothing and a gift. With the changes in how things are, parents are uneasy about sending their children with strangers. We’ve also received feedback about leaving out other children in a family. We listened and decided to try something new. We still need your help to make this day a reality with food for the feast, toys for each of these very special children, and a facility to hold it all.

There are many ways you or your company can support Goodfellows, from Sponsoring a Goodfellows Child to making a corporate donation. Check out the Upcoming Events, Donate & Sponsor and Volunteer pages to learn more and see how you can be a Goodfellow!
